Calculating PR

Hi Everyone,
We all know that the pr is very essential for SEO. And the higher the PR is, the better the SEO
But, i'm not how it comes. How is it caculated? Do anybody know here? Please reply

i think there no way to caculate it as not all backlink will be under your control some ,and especially when you buy a seo service from other you will not know all the PR so it impossible

Well, At the time of calculating the PR Google does not take all the linkings into account. If a webpage is getting links from known link farms, the link is not considered for deciding upon the PR.Google calculates the pagerank of a website using a mathematical formula.
