SEO link optimization
« on: January 03, 2010, 01:11:27 PM »
I was wondering how I should go about optimizing the phrasing that links to me use in order
to get the best SEO results.
Just for example purposes, lets say I wanted to rank highly for the keyword 'flower'.
Now, just having a link named flower isn't very interesting to any user that happens
upon the link. It's spot on as far as what I want to rank high for in SEO though.
Now, say I added some other words around the keyword that I wanted to rank high
for, e.g. 'The best flower ever'. This is obviously more appealing to any users that
happen upon the link, but will it help me rank in the search engines more, equal,
or less than just 'flower'?

Thanks.
