How long will it take to get number 1 ranking in Google?

Hi All,

I just wanted to know on an average how long will it take to get number 1 ranking in Google?

My site is more than 4 months old, but still i'm not able to reach top ranking.

Please share your experiences.

Well, there is no definite answer to this question. Chances are, if your site name isn't at all common and a very unique name, you'll get to no.1 in Google faster and vice versa.

It would depend on how good your site is and how strong the competition is. It can range from 3 weeks to a few years depending on the amount of effort & money that you put in.

It all depends on how much effort you put in promoting your site.

If you do all research stuffs in SEO and in promoting you site you could come up with the solution but it takes much time and its not that easy.

Link building is also is ongoing process.

Usually it takes approximately  6-12 months to perceive the affect in rankings (and of course, it all counts on the keywords you've chosen).
